Yeah i pretty much agree with you. I think the media blew out the difference between Orange Box on the Ps3 and 360 a bit too much. If you look at metacritic OB on the Ps3 is at 89 (damn good). As for problems i myself faced it's really just a few exploited glitches in TF2. Crit rockets through the roof, sentry guns in places you shouldn't be able to reach and the "overtime" glitch. Besides that TF2 is damned good and the Orange Box in general. It's mostly just a bunch of minor diffe...
Not sure what to make about this. But when i read that he were (past tense) making the same mistakes as LionHead Studio's it sounded more like wanting to do too much. There's nothing wrong with making things deep but i think like what he touched on at the end of the article limitations is needed. Specially for ambitious titles such as LittleBigPlanet. The previews of the game is nothing but "it's looking amazing" so obviously Media Molecule is doing something right.
To me this game always looked sub-par. The recent footage does look better but still not enough to really interest me. It's just a 4 player co-op/online game to me but with zombies, it's not going to take me away from TF2. As for the job EA did with the Orange Box it really wasn't that bad as alot of people say it is. Sure TF2 have some glitches i would love to see fixed (crit rockets through thin floors) but other than that there's no real problems i ran into. Portal runs flawlessly which is...
This puts the 360 right around my price range, now MS drop the price of the Wi-Fi adapter and lower the price of the hard drive and you'll have yourself another sale.
Man-Faye and the dude scailor scouts f***ed up my view on cosplay. Theirs still some good costumes that people put alot of time and effort into but i'm just not interested. I do respect them for putting in all the work, thought and dedication though.
Maybe it's on the back of the box.
Is it going to fall into deep water again? The quality of games is getting better, devs are getting more accustomed to the ps3 architecture and the price is only going to lower and it's selling better. I don't really see your way of thinking on this one lightening. You say they are persuing third parties and that is true, but only for multiplatform releases. Which 3rd party game have went exclusive to the 360 in the last few months? None. The gap is only closing between these two consoles and...
I like muted color pallets myself but i would like to see a bit more color. I know it makes other colors pop and is supposed to bring a certain tone to the game while you're playing. I still would appreciate seeing some burgundy, brown and navy sprinkled in.
Yeah they do need more exclusives and new IP's. I for one loath dlc because i personally think that's just a way for companies to get more out of you after you've already spent 60 bones on their game. God damn it release it on the f**king disc when the game comes out. But anywho they need to buy some more 1st party studio's with Bizzare creations and Bungie leaving a already small stable they don't have many studios. Not just that but their former partner BioWare got snatched up by EA almost ...
Shades of old Sega vs Nintendo. I LOVE IT!
For me i would include the final boss battle in MGS4, first time beating Sonic the hedgehog, beating God of War on God Mode and having a soul calibur tournament against my friends.
I did expect them to riding rainbow bright ponies while slaying mythical dragons with their Spears of Longinus.
He does raise valid concerns but you can't just put all the weight on color pallet like that. It seems like his major gripe is that because it's too gray but yet admits to playing only 1 level.. He should wait until he plays more levels before he says the game is too gray and it's been said already that the A.I was tuned down "significantly" for E3. I myself personally would love if there was a snow level in Killzone 2. It would really be something else visually. Besides that though...
Every console have draw backs don't worry about it too much. Just have fun with the games you have and plan on purchasing.
There's a paper thin line between being considered a genius and being considered crazy.
They seem on par with each other. Each system can basically run each others games with marginal difference. Look at Killzone 2 and MGS4, yet you say the Ps3 isn't capable? Stop your trolling and come to gripes with reality and stop fellating the 360. Both consoles are on par with each other and are consistently one upping one another. You should be a gamer first and a zealot second.
On topic, they real atrocity is the cost of royalty fee's on games with multiple disks. MS should ...
Of the 24 games listed. Warhawk, Ass Creed, Resistance, Orange Box, CoD4, Uncharted, GTA4 and MGS4 (of course). I would some PSN games but Sony has been so freaking slow on releasing the PSN cards. I might just break down and use a debit card to buy some PSN titles (Echochrome, everyday shooter and MM9). I would personally put Uncharted at #2.
I like these abstract types of game. Good for coming home after work and just relaxing.
I disagree with HL2 being one of the best FPS's ever made. In my own opinion it's a mediocre FPS that got alot of hype back in the day but it's actual gameplay and non-existent story. But that's just my opinion when comparing it to what i think is the best fps ever (Dues Ex) and one of the best all time in my opinion. Outside of that i'll agree that Portal was extremely good but i wish Chell had a voice actress. I just wish they conveyed her emotions will going through the tests a little more...
Only games to any game with online. It feels like alot of games that have online seem to leave me wanting more with their single player experience. Like it could have been further fleshed out or worked on. Having online isn't a bad thing, it's a good thing but i just rather prefer single player only.
